Lips

A lip blush tattoo is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that enhances the natural color and shape of the lips. This technique involves depositing pigment into the lips, resulting in a soft, natural-looking tint that can last for several years. It aims to create a more defined lip contour and can help correct asymmetry or enhance the appearance of fuller lips. Ideal for those looking to simplify their makeup routine, lip blush tattoos offer a fresh, youthful look.

What is Lip Neutralization?

Lip Neutralisation (also known as dark lip correction tattoo) is a specialised cosmetic tattooing technique designed to balance and correct darker, cool, or uneven tones in the lips.

Rather than simply adding colour, this treatment focuses on colour correction — using warm-based pigments to gently neutralise unwanted tones and reveal a soft, natural blush finish over time.

Before adding your desired lip blush shade — such as pinks, nudes, or reds — the cooler or darker pigmentation must first be neutralised. This ensures your final healed result is even, natural, and beautifully balanced.

Lip neutralisation is typically a 3-step process, sometimes more depending on how dark your natural lip colour is. Each session gradually brightens and evens the tone until the desired warmth and softness are achieved.

Once your lips are neutralised, we can then add your target colour — soft pinks, peachy tones, or rosy shades — for a truly customised lip blush result.

Who Lip Neutralisation is for:

  • You have cool, purple, brown, or dark-toned lips

  • Experience uneven pigmentation or discolouration

  • Want a natural, even base before adding your ideal lip blush shade

  • Have melanin-rich lips that heal darker after traditional lip blush tattooing.

If you are still unsure of what technique is best for you, or would like to meet me first, you can book a FREE no expectation, consultation below. I can customise the technique to suit your desired outcome, skin type and age. Please book a consultation first, if your lips require neutralising.
